Harrisburg, Pa.. He married Miriah M (Michell?) Britton March 12,
1871 in Kensington ME Church by J. Walker Jackson of Philadelphia, Pa..
Louis (Sr.) ran away & joined the Army (Civil War) He wanted
to be the drummer that led the troops, but he was too young to serve. One
day while plowing the feild on his fathers farm he left the plow and horses
were they stood when a troop march by him in the feilds. He lied
about his age, his father followed him to bring him home. His father
caught up to him in Vicksburg, but by than Louis was of age and his father
could do nothing. He served at Vicksburg with the 51st Co. A Volenteers
from Montgomery County, Pa. He was discharged from the Army on 6/2/1865.
His great Granddaughter Linda Fisher Brightbill still has his Sword,
and rifle used in the Civil War among other memoriablia.
